Welcome

I was born and raised in South Dakota, I'm a country girl at heart who lives in the City. I grew up riding horses, working with livestock, riding 4 wheelers, participating in summer 4-H  Rodeos, pagents and Cheerleading. At 18 I joined the US Coast Guard. I was stationed for 2 years on CG Cutter Boutwell in Alameda CA, then transferred to a Search and Rescue Station in Bodega Bay CA for the next 2 years. I was a Diesel Mechanic (MK3) and the only woman at my Station. My AOR (Area of Response) is actually the same AOR for our Congressional CA District 2, the majority of the CA North Coast, which is so amazing to me. While in the Coast Guard, I received a life saving medal and the Sept. 11th medal having been on duty the day America was under attack. What a tragic day that was.  I became a committed Christian at age 20 because the world felt so dark to me and I needed a life purpose that was bigger and better. My love for serving God and Country has grown continually stronger over the years.

 

After serving in the Military,  I lived in Sacramento CA, I was married for 15yrs. as a stay at home wife/homeschool mom,  and I have 4 beautiful kids (Ages 16-21) who are the heartbeat of my life. I taught Sunday School, led worship, taught Bible studies, mentored women, and participated in community events. In 2016 I divorced with biblical grounds and moved to Redding CA to rebuild my wounded family. I've raised my kids on my own with limited support and resources. I started my own Cleaning Company from scratch, to avoid scraping by on minimum wage, which I've sucessfully managed for nearly 10yrs. as a sole proprietor.  I'm excellent at making a little go a long way. I understand the excessive burdensome regulations that are crippling small businesses! 

 

Currently, I'm in the process of becoming the new owner of the Joyful Living Local Magazine publication, which I'm hoping will be a great source of encouragment for our City. I was recently the annual reward recipient of the Mary Beth Weiss Award from the Policy Circle for having applied principles of local civic engagement. I'm also a residing School Board Member for the Enterprise Elementary School District (24-26).

Some of the community advocacy I've done the past 10 yrs. has been creating a Single Mom's Support Group, mentoring other Single Moms through crisis, helping women self represent in Court, helping women escape domestic violence safely, providing a weekly home group for at risk youth in my community for 6yrs., teaching basic self defense to children, and creating connection, collaboration and safety in my neighborhood . My life has not been easy, but it is rewarding! I have been sucessful and victorious by embracing the truth that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I have sucessfully overcame many obstacles,  I've been forged in the fire of life, and my experience is my resume of qualification for this important position.  I am the face of every hardworking American mother who is doing everything she can to battle declining culture with fierce effective love for her family.

This Congressional position was created so constituents can be properly represented at the Federal level by their elected Representatives. How can a career politician properly represent a community that it cannot identify with personally? How can we expect change if we continue to do the same pattern one election after another? It's time for a changing of the guard.

The legislation I vote for, will continually be done with my community as my highest priority. Selfish leaders need to be replaced with servant leaders. Pride needs to be replaced with humility. Integrity needs to out vote fraudulent character.

Our Home, Our State, and Our Nation has once again been under attack since 2020. I have never been the person who yields to diffusion of responsibilty, sits as a spectator when a crisis is occurring, wondering who will go. I stop for the one. I do what I can, when I can, because it's wrong not to. I've spent the majority of my life aiming to ''Be the change I wish to see in the world.'' I understand that love is a powerful weapon that changes everything and without God, preserving America is completely impossible. So as the world feels dark again, I'm choosing to use the most powerful weapon I have found, the weapon of my faith in action. I refuse to sit on the sidelines watching the future of America being destroyed. Proverbs 14:1 says a Wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. I will spend my life building: my family, our community, our State and our Nation because this is our home and I will defend it. God bless America! One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty an justice for all!
